This is a great Promo Film. Everything LandRover did is mentioned as very positive. Even things no Defender drives cares about. 0-60 times for example. But sadly nothing, absolutely nothing about its shortcomings for actual use are mentioned. 1) None of the big expedition and overlanding companies make good kit for this car. ARB, Oztent, QuickPitch, AluCab... where is the kit you need to do actual overlanding? They don't offer because the Defender is too complicated and not useful for actual gear. 2) The not so great reliability so far. These cars go off-road, because they ARE off the actual road in a mechanics shop a lot. 3) 20" or 18" wheels... what a horrible choice for overlanding. 4) This car can not be towed for a longer time, because it is only allowed for a couple of miles 4) Who is going to serve this computer anywhere but Western Europe, the USA or the major cities like CapeTown? NOBODY. Mechanics shops not related to LandRover will not even touch this thing I would have wished this great movie would have been a little non biased

That steep slope killed it for me completely... You sit in the car, push a bunch of buttons and have the car drive itself downhill with you in it. No soul, no driving... That's what LandRover killed. Not just the Defender, but the desire to go overlanding in a LandRover...

With this kind of quality movie you can sell anything… except a new Defender…

Looking back at these comments saying it is ugly lmao , funny how it was love from first sight for me, imo EP3 and FN2 are ugly cars except a few specific color (silver for EP3 and Black for FN2) , this FK2 looks good with any color especially matte dark grey

Not being an engineer I do remember reading years ago, actually decades ago, vaguely that in aircraft industry design during the Second World War the term 'monocoque' was used when a flat steel sheet was 'stretched' or put under tension and then stamped to produce the part. The idea was that this increased the strength of the stamped part. Does anyone know if this is correct, or does the term simply refer to a type of unibody, stamped or otherwise? Thanks.

What most people forget is, that the 2-litre diesel is perfect for everyday use. I would'nt have bought it, if it had a V6. I wanted the brutal look and a everyday usable engine. 213 hp is enough for dayly use.

I had to laugh when he described the transmission. Mine does the same thing in my V8VS. Nevertheless, when I drop the top, all is forgiven. It's a wonderful car with alot of "personality"

I saw my first one of these in an auto dealership in Houston, Texas in 1966. I was a boy in junior high. This car with its interesting front end stood out among the other cars sold there including a Mark 10 jaguar, and bunches of triumph and MG Sports cars I still prefer the original single headlight front end, but this is also so beautiful. Thank you so much!

I don't know they say that it doesn't function for air intake or to cool an engine, but batteries need to stay cool too and I think it does have a function.

lol I’ve owned and tracked both and this just nonsense imo, the driver driving the Gtr should be sacked LOL. Just watch car wow for drag times and use top gear test track for lap time or the Nurburgring, enough said now.

Recently picked up an '06 'Justa' Cooper. Not real big on straightline speed or acceleration, but I can throw that car into any turn, and it handles it with grace and precision. A fantastic, lovely little car!

The original E types are not fun to drive? That is some serious Resto modification propaganda 😂 I have no issue with modifying a car like the series 3 E Type to make it more usable, particularly given it was not the sports car that the series one and two fixed head coupe and convertibles were, but saying the latter are not fun to drive is a serious injustice. Nothing gives you the feel, feedback, and connection to driving like an original 50s and 60s proper sports car. If one is disappointed by the performance and driving experience of an E Type, the car doesn’t belong in that person‘s hands in the first place.

Had a 1989 500 SL Euro pearl black on black from 2007 to 2012 when I was 36 . Every moment spent driving and pampering this elegant machine was surreal and special ! Some of the most memorable years ever. I know I'm going to buy another very soon - YOLO right :) ?
